I was born and raised in Texas, and received my Bachelor's in English at U of H Clear Lake and Masters in Library and Information Science at the University of North Texas in Denton. I have worked for the Chambers County Library System since 1995, and on Feb. 1 2011 became County Librarian. I have been heavily involved with the Texas Library Association and helped create the Texas Teens 4 Libraries (TT4L) program. I also do occasional webinars on teen programming, served on multiple committees with the Houston Area Library System, and provided consultant services for space planning, teen programming, and collection development.
